ePHI Waiver No Longer Required on These Collections Emails

As part of HIPAA's exceptions for the collection of payment, Hint will start sending past due invoice emails without the need for an ePHI waiver to be accepted. Your patients will start receiving the following billing notifications, even if they haven't yet signed the ePHI wavier.

This change will be effective Monday, May 15, 2023.

The three emails that may now be sent to patients without ePHI waiver acceptance:

Patient Notification 2 - Customer Invoice
Patient Notification 9 - Charge Failed
Patient Notification 10 - Charge Failed (Follow-Up)

As a reminder, all notifications can be viewed, customized, and disabled at Admin>Notifications.
